Teaching English through Action Songs
Charles Goodger, the founder of FunSongs Education will provide you with a personal course on teaching English to young learners though action songs. This is a self-paced course which means you can fit in your learning assignments to suit your own routine. The course includes two one-on-one online sessions with Charles.
Games in the Classroom
The course "Using Games in the EFL Classroom" will be involved in learning about the types of games that can be beneficial in improving English language learning.
The course is aimed at current teachers or trainers of English as a Foreign language (EFL) or even as a Second Language (ESL). However the course is open to all those that are interested in the topic.
The course will look at games for Young Learners, Teens and Adults.
Upcycle Learning and Resources
Participants will plan a devise a MakerSpace center for their classroom. They will develop activities and group of lessons to encourage inquiry thinking and planning. The skills that participants can also use for Problem Based Learning (PBL) projects.
Mindful Learning for LIFE
In Mindful Learning (ML), participants will learn about listening, intention, focus, and engagement (LIFE) for effective learning. They will learn to apply LIFE skills for personal and professional purposes. The course is a self-paced with one-on-one coaching and ongoing support for up to 12 months.
Teach a Course on Reach 2 Share
Teach your very own online course for 4-5 weeks on Reach to Share. Access the course, pay the fee, fill in the form, and your course will be ready. Once ready, you'll be able to add content and activities. The platform uses Moodle learning and course management system. You will receive one-on-one mentorship on how to design and teach your course and ongoing support.
Active Listening In and Out of Class
Listening skills are necessary for effective and meaningful learning. Learning is about change. Active listening can bring about change in people's attitude towards themselves and others. Participants will learn about and practice active listening skills in personal and professional settings. The course is a self-paced with one-on-one coaching and ongoing support for up to 12 months.
Moodle Teacher Training
Teachers will receive self-based online training on how to teach online using Moodle, the platform's learning and course management system. Those who join will receive one-one on going mentorship and support for as long as they teach on Reach to Share.
Learn to Use Reach to Share
This is a free self-paced course for members of Reach to Share. Participants will learn how to use the platform.
Technology with Young Learners
Technology with Young Learners is a self-paced online course for new, veteran, and future teachers who wish to learn how to manage young EFL learners in the classroom. Young learners have a short time span for many reasons. Mindful use of technology can facilitate instruction and learning. Participants of the course will learn how to use educational technology to engage young learners, promote team collaboration, and make learning meaningful.
Art of Storytelling in Storybook Reading
In this five week course you will learn how to get your students engaged in wanting to read books and learn English. Participants will examine and practice the art of storytelling in storybook reading. Then create activities using a printed copy or online book. This course is aimed at all teachers of English to all ages as well as all Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages.
Action Research Project
One way of improving productivity and learning is to conduct an action research project. Action research project is a practical self-paced course with one-on-one coaching that can be done in 8 weeks. Teachers will research a problem in their classes/schools and develop a proposal, conduct research and report on the findings, resolve the problem and take action. Participants, who complete the course, receive a certificate of completion.
Collaborative Team-based Learning
Team-based Collaborative Learning for teachers of every age group. TBCL is a practical hands-on self-paced online course with one-on-one mentorship and full support for the duration of the course and if needed after the course. Teachers will gain an understanding of the method and design lessons for present and future classes.
