Carmen Medina, PhD

My Profile:

I am a Canadian born-Spanish heritage language teacher. I received a licentiate in English Philology from the University of Granada (Spain), and my PhD from the University of Valencia (Spain). I was a Fulbright exchange teacher in Billings, Mt. in 2001. I have taught in the United States, Spain, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. I was part of the pioneer online team that created the first online Spanish teacher training courses for endorsement in English.

I am currently teaching an online Linguistics for Educators course for Grand View University, Des Moines, Iowa, as well as coordinating the creation of the first C1 online course for English teaching endorsement in Andalusia, Spain.

I have given numerous training courses in Europe, the United States and the Middle East.  I consider myself a lifelong learner and encourage this approach amongst my students and participants in my courses.
